First up, there’s a brand new trailer for the upcoming season of 24, which *could* be the show’s final “day.” And not to get all spoiler-y, but apparently Jack is planning on having just a regular old day, when a huge threat comes up that involves a lot of explosions, innocent lives, and Jack [...]

Hey, I was moved by the Kim-Jack reunion. I mean, I saw it coming that she would come back and give him a transfusion or something to save him, but it was still an emotional scene. The guy has one big weakness, and that’s his daughter. This time out she didn’t look her best, but [...]

On to my other shows:
I know it has become rather vogue to rag on Heroes, but I have to jump on this fanboy bandwagon here. Seriously, what is up with this show lately? In Season One, the revelation that Claire was a Petrelli was shocking. Now Sylar is a Petrelli, too? [...]

It’s the all-animation edition!
The Simpsons concept of Bart getting a cell phone didn’t sound very funny in principle, but the execution of the show was very well done, I thought. Until of course things sort of unraveled in the third act with the family going to Machu Picchu. But even then I was still [...]

Summertime has come and (almost) gone, and now that we’ve all gotten that pesky fresh air and outdoor goodness out of the way, it’s time we can focus on the things that REALLY matter, namely TV. There are only a handful (thankfully) of new shows coming this season that I’m looking forward to [...]

This crappy economy has taken another innocent victim: Bennigan’s restaurants.

Sure, [...]

The first half of South Park’s twelfth season is officially over, and thankfully, the half-season ended strongly with a solid Butters/Cartman episode. Though Super Fun Time might not be as funny as such legendary episodes as “AWESOM-O” or “Casa Bonita,” last night reminded us how hilarious this show is whenever [...]

Another week, another lackluster South Park. Man, this is killing me. I have long argued that South Park is one of the most consistently funny shows on the air, but this season has seen a drastic decline in the number of laughs per episode (with the exceptions of Major Boobage [...]

For a show that prides itself on staying current, last night’s episode was full of pretty dated references. Which might not have been such a big deal, if the show was able to mine those old movies/news stories for good jokes. Sadly, it did not.
And it’s unfortunate, because the initial [...]

The Writer’s Strike of 2007-2008 began on November 5, 2007. Two days later, South Park did a show on Guitar Hero. A week after that, they did a show on the lists girls make about boys. “Guitar Queer-O” was all right, and “The List” was very funny, but I [...]
