Great news! The 2010 Mets will be correcting at least one mistake of the 2009 season – they’re reinstating the Six Pack! For years, me and various pals had bought the Six (and later Seven) Packs as ways to get together a few times over the summer, see a handful of games each season (usually [...]

A Phillies-Yankees World Series is just about the worst thing that could happen to a Mets fan. It’s like G-d himself hates the Mets and is out to punish not only them, but their fans. Or it’s like that guy from the Saw movies has come up with a new horrific kind of [...]

…At least the Mets can’t blow their postseason chances on teh last day of the season for a third consecutive year!
Cuz that would have just been devastating.
Although, collapsing early on in the season isn’t that much better.
I have been very far removed from baseball this year – with moving out and moving in [...]

Please keep doing what you’re doing. And not just for the next few months, but for the ENTIRE rest of the season, and then all the way through the postseason.
That would be great.
Just remember: you can’t get lazy and start losing games. No, the best bet would be for you to go [...]

It’s baseball season – hooray!
So I was able to go to Citi Field yesterday for a work out, which was basically an extended batting practice. The workout was neat, but for the most part, we toured the new stadium, exploring every inch of the beautiful new grounds.
(Want to see pictures? They’re here!)
Overall, everything people [...]

So the missus and I have been trying to buy a used car, and the process is just no fun at all. In part because every time a dealer gives you a final price, at the last minute they decide to add on a huge fee that was never before mentioned.
Why didn’t they check [...]

We are at the end of an era.
Shea Stadium is almost no more.
I took some pics on my cell phone, but they are incredibly blurry – check out
this page for some much better images.
I know Shea was a dump, but it was a dump I have a lot of happy memories from, and [...]

Hooray, the Mets have a closer again! And a good one to boot – 62 games saved last year!
Of course, there are still issues that need to be addressed this off-season: starting pitching, relief pitching, and second base being the chief three. But signing K-Rod shows that Minaya and co. are [...]

ESPN is reporting that Aaron Heilman is demanding (demanding?) to be either moved from the bullpen to a starter position or be traded.
As shocking as that demand is in and of itself, the story then takes an even worse turn: The Mets are debating what to do.
Please, allow me:
TRADE HIM!
This guy wants to start games [...]

For the second straight year, the Mets handed the NL East title to the Phillies.
For the second straight year, the Mets lost the last game of the season, sealing their fate for not playing in October.
But I’m not going to harp on it. In fact, I’m sort [...]
