It’s a DVR alert!  Tonight, tune into BIO channel (formerly Biography) at 10pm for The Tragic Side of Fame. (It will also be repeated again at 11pm and then at midnight; click here for more showtimes.  That way if you have a DVR conflict because you’re already recording Futurama and Wilfred/Louie in the 10pm hour, you can still catch the show!)

This is (not surprisingly) a show that I worked on, and therefore am extremely biased about.  That said, it really is a great concept – the show profiles three celebrities who fell victim to the lure of the Hollywood lifestyle.  In this episode, the three celebrities are Dana Plato from Diff’rent Strokes, Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli, and model Anna Nicole Smith, all who died much too young.  It’s somewhat depressing subject matter, but it’s interesting stuff, and you’ll never think about these people (or anyone else famous who died) the same way again.

PS – The second episode, which profiles Brittany Murphy, Corey Haim, and Heath Ledger, will air in September, but I’ll post a reminder then, don’t you worry.
