Most of the time, I drive the Pontiac, and Courtney drives the Toyota. For a while there I actually stopped carrying around the Toyota keys, because I really only used them on the weekends, but that became a pain because I would forget them when I wanted them. So now I carry the Toyota keys along with all of my toher keys.
Problem is, the Toyota keyless remote thing has a panic button on the back, that, if you sneeze near it, goes off.
Now, I get the point of the panic button – I assume it’s designed to help people being attacked or something and scare off bad guys. But are there any kind of statistics out there on how many tragedies have been avoided thanks to panic buttons? Or better yet, a ratio of tragedies averted to alarm going off for no reason? My guess is that ratio would be approximately 1:18,745,324,618.
Give or take.
