queens

Its been about two months since we said goodbye to Queens, but I felt like now was a good a time as ever to reflect back on what I will and will not miss about life in College Point, Queens.

I will miss:
Proximity to Shea/Citi Field
Abundance of nearby pizzerias
Ability to have our landlord fix any problems in the apartment

I will not miss:
The 7 train
The Q25 bus
Pretty much everything about Downtown Flushing
The constantly barking dogs in the neighborhood
The fact that there was no decent bagel place nearby
Having to be quiet late at night or early in the morning
Finding parking on the street

And sure, there was that pizza place we loved in Queens, but we’ll find a new one in Huntington. And there was a Five Guys right near us in Queens, but there’s a new one opening up by our new place. And I loved the fact that there was a Carvel up the block from us in College Point, but Huntington Village has a homemade ice cream shop that we’re sort of obsessed with already.

Wow, I’m really all about the food, huh?
