One serious, one… less so:
1. Is there a proper way to dispose of crosses, crucifixes, and other Christian religious things? I know in the Jewish faith that it’s a sin to just throw away Bibles and prayer books and yarmulkes (I think), but I have no idea what to do with the Christian/Catholic stuff. I’m guessing the best thing to do, morally speaking, would be to donate them to a local church.
2. Is it vital to change the toilet seats in a new home? Certain family members who shall remain nameless were shocked when Courtney and I had NOT run out to buy new toilet seats immediately upon our closing. It honestly never even occurred to us. Is this normal? Do most people buy new toilet seats after a move?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackBUY NEW TOILET SEATS!!!!! Ewww…..How was that not even a question?! You never know if the former proprietors had some kind of funky ass/genital disease. Toilet seats aren’t expensive. Health care is.
This coming from the girl who doesn’t wash with soap after using the bathroom…
Be glad you’re not really Jewish. Then you’d have to replace the stove top and dishwasher. Anyway, you can clean toilet seats. As for diseases, it sure would be useful if you knew a good Microbiologist…
You can TOTALLY catch herpes from a toilet seat, everyone knows that…
Of course you should buy new seats.
A-it is your home—your tushy will be sitting on its new sear
B-its a clean thing–whatever sis said is right — in her own loving way
What if I solve both problems at once by coating the old toilet seats in the religious paraphernalia?
hahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Love you much–don’t think so :-!!!
I vote yes, for $10 or so a seat do it! I hear Ben & Concetta know some people at Lowes, maybe they can get you a deal! We changed the whole toilet…
A loving note to my dear Son & Daughter-In-Law:
Toss the old toilet seats immediately, and proceed post haste to either Lowes or Home Depot and purchase new ones; they’re only 19.99. Sami is 100% correct- utilizing the prior owners TS’s is gross!
Regarding the religious articles, I vote for donating them to a church.
A – “Morals…Morals!!! You don’t have no stinking morals!!!!
B – Yeah….I can’t find a reason NOT to buy new toilet seats! Besides, you can get the slow and quiet closing ones….they’re cool! (Yes, I have one)
So I guess new toilet seats wins, huh?
Never heard of that before but it makes sense….especially if you moved into a house with those soft, squishy seats. Ewwwww
