It’s baseball season – hooray!
So I was able to go to Citi Field yesterday for a work out, which was basically an extended batting practice. The workout was neat, but for the most part, we toured the new stadium, exploring every inch of the beautiful new grounds.

Overall, everything people are saying is true – this new stadium is beautiful and INTIMATE. It almost feels more like a minor league park, it’s so small. You can walk around the whole place in no time flat, and it doesn’t ever seem like you’re really far away from the players. The drawback of less seats is that they have to charge more per ticket, but the warm and cozy feel of the ballpark will definitely make up for it. (I say that now before I start paying for tickets…)
The food smelled good, and I can’t wait to try the goodies at the outfield food court. The Shake Shack had a huge line, and the Blue Smoke and Mexican food smelled good, although eating BBQ ribs or chicken mole tacos seems odd at a ballgame. But who am I kidding, I’ll try them both, as well as every other selection, eventually.
The bottom line is I was ecstatic for the new season to start before, but now after spending some time in Citi Field, I’m practically foaming at the mouth.
Let’s Go Mets!
